CANALOU -- Cletus E. Harr, 86, of Canalou, died Monday, Dec. 14, 1992, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. He was born Oct. 30, 1906, at Matthews, son of Albert and Mary Magdalene Lacy Harr. He first married Pearl Sexton in February 1925, who died in April 1976. CANALOU -- Cletus E. Harr, 86, of Canalou, died Monday, Dec. 14, 1992, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

He was born Oct. 30, 1906, at Matthews, son of Albert and Mary Magdalene Lacy Harr. He first married Pearl Sexton in February 1925, who died in April 1976. He and Vearnies Landers Tharp were married Juy 4, 1976, at Kevil, Ky.

Harr was a retired carpenter, and member of Ohio Valley Baptist Church in Barlow, Ky.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Earl Harr of LaCenter, Ky.; a stepson, B. Charles Ralph of Fresno, Calif.; seven stepdaughters, Janet Nelson and Faye Spencer of Canalou, Mary Griffin of Indianapolis, Ind., Lena Adams of Dexter, Bonnie Vent of Grandville, Phyllis Griffin of East Chicago, Ind., Rita Johnson of Idabelle, Okla.; a brother, Francis Harr of St. Louis; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; 26 stepgrandchildren, and 25 great-step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, daughter, stepson, brother and sister.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Revs. Billy Holt and Mike Cartwright will officiate, with burial in Matthews Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
