ADVANCE, Mo. -- Cletis Daniel, 80, of Advance died Wednesday, June 28, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born July 5, 1919, in Advance, son of John C. and Mabel L. Weatherman Daniel. He and Ethel Verneal Wilkerson were married Dec. 12, 1939, in Advance.
Daniel was a retired farmer. He served in the U.S. Navy Seabees during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Cecil, Jerry and John Daniel, all of Puxico, Curtis Daniel of Swinton; a daughter, Mabel Lacy of Ackerman, Miss.; a sister, Aileen Tropf of Cape Girardeau; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home from 4:30-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Rudy Pittman officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Advance.
