Cleo Sauerbrunn

ANNA, Ill. -- Cleo Sauerbrunn, 85, of Anna died Sunday, July 24, 2005, at Union County Hospital.

He was born Feb. 21, 1920, in Balcomb, Ill., son of George and Alma S. Theiss Sauerbrunn. He and Genna Worel were married Feb. 1, 1940, in Jackson. She died May 2, 2000.

Sauerbrunn had worked at International Shoe Co., and retired from Anna State Hospital.

Survivors include a son, Gary Sauerbrunn of Gilbert, Ariz.; a daughter, Deborah Sweitzer of Cobden, Ill.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.

Friends may call at Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro, Ill., from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Salem Lutheran Church, with the Rev. David Eidson officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.
