DEXTER -- Graveside service for Clemmer C. DeJournett of Dexter was held Wednesday at Dexter Cemetery. The Rev. Lester Dale officiated.
Rainey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
DeJournett, 83, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 1997, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.
He was born July 21, 1914, at LaValle, son of Marshall and Mae Annis DeJournett. He and Reba Tedford were married Nov. 21, 1936, at Essex. She died Nov. 28, 1983.
DeJournett was a retired carpenter and farmer.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty Ezell of Dexter, Patricia Book of Cape Girardeau; four brothers, Woodrow and Wiley DeJournett of Bloomfield, Lloyd and Marvin DeJournett of Dexter; a sister, Kathleen Givens of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, and two brothers.
