Funeral service for Clella Pippinger Bretz of Cape Girardeau will be held at 1 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Robert Fezor will officiate, with burial in Memorial Gardens at Poplar Bluff.
Bretz, 85, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 1993, at Cape LaCroix.
She was born July 26, 1908, at Hayti, daughter of Arthur and Lula Ann Hedges Poole. She first married John W. Pippinger in 1921, in Harrisburg, Ark. He died in 1972. She later married Harold Bretz May 15, 1974, in Greenville. He died in 1982.
Bretz was a member of Missionary Baptist Church in Hayti.
Survivors include two sons, Gary and Kenneth Pippinger of Arnold; a daughter, Nelda "Rennie" Clark of Thebes, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
