CLEDIS GREEN

BERNIE -- Cledis Marie Green, 83, of Bernie died Monday, July 19, 1999, at Dexter Memorial Hospital in Dexter.

She was born Oct. 4, 1915, at Canalou, daughter of Gus and Nora White Simpson. She first married Everett Greer Oct. 31, 1931, at Charter Oak. She later married Kenneth Lee Green March 15, 1947, in Paragould, Ark. He died May 21, 1983.

Green owned and operated a nursing home near Bernie many years. She was a member of a Pentecost Church at Malden.

Survivors include two sons, Donald Greer and Darrell Green of Bernie; a daughter, Cathie Dennington of Bernie; two brothers, Clarence Simpson of Bowling Green, Ky., Gilbert Simpson of Catron; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, a brother, and a half brother.

Friends may call at Rainey Funeral Home in Bernie from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Doug Fowler officiating. Burial will be in Bernie Cemetery.
