Clayton Bierbaum

METROPOLIS, Ill. -- Clayton Bernard Bierbaum, 73, of Metropolis and formerly of Mound City, Illinois, died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, at Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, Kentucky.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge, Illinois, with a rosary service at 8 p.m. Visitation will continue from 8 to 10 a.m. Monday at the Louis Phares American Legion Post No. 178 in Villa Ridge.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the American Legion hall, with the Rev. Buddy Walls and Monsignor Bill McGhee officiating. Interment will follow in the Mound City National Cemetery with full military honors given by the Illinois National Guard Burial Team and area veterans.
