BLOOMFIELD -- Funeral service for Claudine Maxine Monroe will be held at 2 p.m. today at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Lonnie Clubb will officiate, with burial in Walker Cemetery near here.
Monroe, 74, died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1993, at Bloomfield.
She was born July 18, 1919, at Clines Island, daughter of Herman and Hattie Hibbs Morse. She and Lawrence Monroe were married in October 1938. He died in 1974.
Monroe was a nurse several years, and member of Clines Island General Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, William Monroe of Dexter, Thomas Monroe of Bloomfield; a daughter, Audrey Jackson of Bloomfield; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren, and two great-stepgrandchildren.
