ADVANCE, Mo. -- Claud James Corbin, 97, of Advance passed away Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, at Advance Nursing Center.
He was born Nov. 22, 1916, at Greenbrier, Mo., son of Clyde and Pearl Watkins Corbin. Claud and Nina Moore were married in 1942. She preceded him in death in 1981. He then married Mary Berrong in 1991, and she preceded him in death in 1994. He later married Agnes Sturgeon in 1995.
Claud was a merchant in Advance more than 25 years. He was a member of Advance United Methodist Church and Zalma Masonic Lodge 545 AF&AM.
Survivors include his wife, Agnes Corbin; a daughter, Nedra O'Brien of Advance; a brother, Paul Corbin of Advance; four sisters, Willodean Lloyd and Gavada Woodfin of Advance, Betty Cato of Cape Girardeau and Jo-Ann Cole of Independence, Mo.; several stepchildren and stepgrandchildren.
He also was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to service time Saturday at Morgan Funeral Home. A Masonic service will be at 10:45 a.m.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jerry Willer officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park.
