VILLA RIDGE, Ill. -- Clarence William Allen, 74, of Pulaski, Ill., died Monday, Sept. 23, 1991, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Marion, Ill.
He was born Feb. 6, 1917, in Paducah, Ky., son of Clarence Allen and Ethel Bush Allen.
He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Mounds, Ill. and was a machinist for the Valley Steel Products Company in Cairo, Ill. for 32 years.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Baggett Allen of Pulaski; two daughters, Mary L. Droge of Cairo and Nellie Britt of Sparta, Ill.; four sons, Billy Ray Allen, Panama City Fla., Michael Lee Allen, Wickliff, Ky., James Clarence "Jimmy" Allen and Melvin Dean Allen, both of Mounds; 15 grandchildren, two step grandchildren and six great-grand children.
He was preceded in death by two sons, three daughters and one sister.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge.
Funeral service will be Thursday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Earnest Browning and Billy Don Heady officiating. Burial will follow in Spencer Heights Cemetery in Mounds.
