JONESBORO, Ill. -- Clarence R. South, 84, of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, June 6, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born June 9, 1910, in Gorham, son of Fred and Elizabeth Burns South. He and Pearl Barton were married May 1, 1936, in Pinckneyville.
South was a radio and television repairman, and member of American Legion. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Jerry South of Jonesboro; two grandsons, and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Garnett Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.
