Clarence Dinnis McLard, 82, 2530 Ford, died Thursday, March 13, 1997, at his home, following a brief illness.
He was born July 8, 1914, at Aquilla, son of Oscar D. and Willie Cotner McLard. He and Erma Lee Heuschober were married June 10, 1939, in Cape Girardeau. She died April 27, 1987.
McLard was a teacher at Cape Vo-Tech School three years. He was owner/operator of McLard Heating and Air Conditioning from 1940-67, and retired in 1980 as plumbing and electrical inspector with city of Cape Girardeau.
He was a member of Maple United Methodist Church, its Men's Club, and Board of Trustees. He was a charter member of Capaha Antique Car Club.
Survivors include a son, Terry McLard of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Marcia Brown of Houston, Mo.; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Revs. John Gregory and David Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
