Clarence W. Ervin, 81, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Oct. 15, 1996, at the Lutheran Home.
He was born Nov. 7, 1914, at Benton, son of John R. and Beulah Minter Ervin. He and Mary JoAnn Spinner were married Aug. 20, 1966, in Cape Girardeau.
Ervin was a foreman in the gas and water department of Missouri Utilities Co. 28 years, retiring in 1977. He also farmed 50 years. He was a member of the Church of God.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Kenneth Ervin of Singapore, Gary Ervin of Sulphur, Ky.; two brothers, Lloyd Ervin of Cape Girardeau, John Ervin of Floral City, Fla.; two sisters, Pearl Forbey of Charleston, Betty Carriveau of Flint, Mich.; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at West Side Church of God, with Pastor Chad McIntosh officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
