SIKESTON -- Clarence Cox, 88, of Sikeston, died Wednesday, May 15, 1991, at SEMO Care Center here. He was born Feb. 4, 1903, in Monroe County, Miss., son of Robert Mannon and Gairia Towery Cox. Cox was a retired dragline operator. SIKESTON -- Clarence Cox, 88, of Sikeston, died Wednesday, May 15, 1991, at SEMO Care Center here.

He was born Feb. 4, 1903, in Monroe County, Miss., son of Robert Mannon and Gairia Towery Cox.

Cox was a retired dragline operator.

Survivors include three sons, Robert Cox of LaBelle, Fla., Edward Cox of Miami, Fla., Clarence Cox Jr., address unknown, and a sister, Trudie Nelson of Sikeston.

A prayer service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. Cline Ables will officiate. Burial will be in Blodgett City Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until time of service.
