SCOTT CITY - Clarence Clemens Ward of 905 Yale, Scott City, died June 14, 1991 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was 83.
Ward was born in Advance Feb. 28, 1908, the son of the late Hiram H. Ward and Nancy Rhoads.
He married Thelma L. Stone July 21, 1929 in Mount Vernon, Ark. She died Dec. 9, 1987.
Ward had worked as an assembly line worker at Superior Electric. He was a member of Memorial Wesleyan in Scott City.
One daughter, Lucile C. Segraves of Scott City, survives, along with three grandchildren: Mike Hamilton of Tulsa, Okla., Carla Decker of Middletown, Ohio, and Cynthia Holdinghausen of Crystal City. Also surviving are nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held today at 5 p.m. at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. The funeral will be held at the chapel at 10 a.m. Monday.
The Rev. Bennie Phillips of Memorial Wesleyan will preside.
