JACKSON, Mo. -- Clarence A. Biri, 79, died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2000.

He was born May 24, 1921, near Silver Lake in Perry County, Mo., son of Andrew and Anna Stortz Biri.

Biri was a member of Altenthal-Joerns American Legion Post 158.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include three daughters, Connie Adams and Becky Thorne of Jackson, Donna Whitworth of Benton, Mo.; two sisters, Clara Seabaugh and Anna Leimer of Jackson; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

There is no service.

McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson is in charge of arrangements.
