ANNA, Ill. -- Clarence A. Pickles, 78, of Anna died Sunday, May 12, 1996, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Marion, Ill.
He was born Dec. 8, 1916, in Dongola, Ill., the son of Guy and Nora Hileman Pickles. He was married to Leona Dover, who preceded him in death.
Pickles was a retired Teamster and member of the Teamsters Local 347 in West Frankfort, Ill. He was a World War II veteran and member of the VFW Post 3455 in Anna.
Survivors include three daughters, Martha Daniels of Olive Branch, Ill., and Barbara Wilson and Dorothy Stevens, both of Anna; two brothers, Fred Pickles of Anna and Frank Pickles of Coal City, Ill.; a sister, Helen Keller of Florida; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a half-sister.
Friends may call from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday at Hileman & Parr Funeral Services in Jonesboro, Ill.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hileman & Parr. Burial will follow in the Anna Cemetery, where military graveside rites will be conducted by VFW Post 3455.
