Clara Scott

EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Clara Byrd Scott, 91, of Pitman, N.J., died Saturday, March 3, 2007, at JFK Hospital in Washington Township, N.J.

She was born March 10, 1915, in East Prairie, daughter of Bird and Iva Allen Hubbard. She married Vernon E. Scott.

The Scotts owned and operated Scott's Paint Store many years in East Prairie.

Survivors include a son, William Gregory of Woodbury, N.J.; a sister, Evelyn Brown of Cape Girardeau; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, a daughter, three brothers and a sister.

Shelby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
