PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Clara Rita Ruch, 92, of Perryville died Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at her home.
She was born Aug. 14, 1921, in Perry County, to William N. and Mary A. Layton Gibbar. She married Clarence "Jim" Ruch.
Clara was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church at Silver Lake, Mo. She had worked at International Shoe Co.
Survivors include two sons, Donald Newell of Conway, Ark., and Richard Ruch of Perryville; 10 grandchildren, Robert (Christie) Newell, David (Mary) Newell, Susan (R.M.) Stelling, Allen Newell, Sharon Newell, Dean (Angie) Newell, Debbi (Tom) Schumer, Jennifer (Shannon) Kirchhoff, Rick (Tracy) Ruch and Michelle Ruch; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; five brothers, Lester, Earl, Francis, Glennon and Clarence Gibbar; two sisters, Evelyn Vaughn and Gladys Vaughn; and a son, Lonnie "Silver" Newell.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 6:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Family Funeral Home.
Funeral Mass will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Rose of Lima Church, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to masses.
