CLARA CRITES

Graveside service for Clara Crites of Cape Girardeau will be held at 3 p.m. today at Fairmount Cemetery. Dr. John Owen will officiate.

There is no visitation.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Crites, 97, died Monday, July 29, 1996, at Heartland Care and Rehab Center.

She was born Jan. 7, 1899, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of August and Luella Dilport Gockel. She and Grover C. Crites were married June 2, 1952, in Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death.

Crites had owned and operated a Merle Norman cosmetics studio.

Survivors include two sisters, Louise Childress of Little Rock, Ark., and Gerry Gladish of Cape Girardeau.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
