PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. -- Clara S. Binger, 101, of Port Charlotte fell asleep in Jesus Thursday, Jan. 20, 2005.

She was born Sept. 28, 1903, in Carlyle, Ill., daughter of the Rev. John and Mary Herzog Schoenleber. She was the loving wife of the late Harry C. Binger, who died in 1963.

Mrs. Binger, formerly of St. Louis, was a switchboard supervisor for Southwestern Bell, Emerson Electric, Valer and Speese Flour Mill and the Statler Hotel. She was a librarian technician at Concordia Seminary for 13 years.

Mrs. Binger was the cherished mother of Jeanine C. and husband Dr. Harold Hager of Cape Girardeau; Virderie B. and the Rev. Dr. Clyde Kaminska of Port Charlotte; dearest grandmother of Wendy and husband Karl Kunc, Kim and husband Dr. Spencer Train; dear great-grandmother of Katy and Keenan Kunc.

She was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.

Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Chapel of the Cross Lutheran Church, Highway 367, north of Highway 270.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. at the church.

Interment will be at National Cemetery, Jefferson Barracks. A Buchholz Spanish Lake Mortuary Service.

Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran School Building Fund, 100 N. Frederick St., Cape Girardeau, Mo. 63701 or Chapel of the Cross Church.
