JONESBORO, Ill. -- Clara Belcher, 87, of Ponotoc, Miss., formerly of Cape Girardeau, Mo., died Tuesday, May 26, 1992, in Tulsa, Okla.

She was born April 11, 1905, in Willisville, daughter of Harry and Della Luthy Wareing. She and George Leo Belcher were married in 1922. He died in 1975.

Belcher was a member of Harrisburg Baptist Church in Tupelo, Miss.

Survivors include five sons, Jim Belcher of Oklahoma City, Okla., Harry Belcher of O'Fallon, Mo., Bob Belcher of Carlinville, Clifford Belcher of Mansfield, Mo., Phillip Belcher of Pekin; two daughters, Patsy Rillo of Broken Arrow, Okla., Betty Hutson of Ponotoc; four brothers, Paul and Clyde Wareing of Cape Girardeau, Harry Wareing of Anna, Bill Wareing of Hemet, Calif.; three sisters, Ramona Belcher of St. Charles, Naomi Gray of St. Ann, Martha Steinborne of Florissant; 27 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Jonesboro. The Rev. Jerry Ford will officiate, with burial in Jonesboro Cemetery.

Friends may call at Norris and Son Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m. Friday, and at the church Saturday from noon until service time.
