ULLIN, Ill. -- Funeral for C.J. Egner of Ullin will be held at 11:30 a.m. today at Cache Chapel United Methodist Church. The Revs. Jack Wolfe and John Clark will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the church from 10 a.m. until service time.
Crain Funeral Home in Ullin is in charge of arrangements.
Egner, 84, died Sunday, Oct. 22, 2000, at Parkway Manor in Marion, Ill.
He was born April 28, 1916, near Ullin, son of Cornelious and Effie Corzine Egner. He and Inis Ritter were married Oct. 19, 1935.
Egner lived and worked on the family farm most of his life. He was a member of Cache Chapel Church.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Elaine Brown of Olmsted, Ill., Bunny Wolfe of Benton, Ill.; a son, Deon Egner of Springfield, Ill.; a sister, Glenda Mowery of Ullin; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
