Christopher R. Brown, 35, of Jackson passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014, at his home. He was born Dec. 6, 1978, to Michael W. and Teresa R. Breece Brown. Christopher R. Brown, 35, of Jackson passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014, at his home.

He was born Dec. 6, 1978, to Michael W. and Teresa R. Breece Brown.

Christopher was a graduate of Jackson High School and received bachelor and master of English degrees from Southeast Missouri State University. He taught English at various schools in Southeast Missouri and attended Covenant Life Church in Fruitland.

Loving survivors include his mother, Teresa King of Jackson; father, Mike Brown of Jackson; a half sister, Kaci Brown of Jackson; maternal grandparents, Cassandra and Randal Breece of Jackson; two stepsiblings, Jeremy King of Jackson and Erin Faire of Arnold, Missouri; paternal uncle, Terry Brown of Jackson; paternal aunt, Darlene Lett of St. Charles, Missouri; and three nieces, Destiny Welsh, Aniyah Long and Savanah Brown.

He was preceded in death by a twin brother, Eric W. Brown; paternal grandparents, Donald and Wanda Brown; and a paternal uncle, Randy Brown.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mark Culberson officiating. Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to Larry B. Jones HOPE Campaign, 2126 Woodside Drive, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701.
