Christine Eftink

ORAN, Mo. -- Christine J. Eftink, 87, of Oran died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2004, at her home.

She was born June 18, 1916, in Bollinger County, daughter of Emanuel and Drieka Spooler Nance. She and William G. Eftink were married July 24, 1934. He died May 1, 1986.

Eftink retired as a sewing machine operator at International Hat Co. She was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church and its St. Ann Sodality.

Survivors include two sons, Clyde Eftink of Oran, Bill Eftink of Prole, Iowa; two daughters, Irene Hotop of St. Louis, Rosemary Lane of Jefferson City, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, two brothers, and a sister.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran after 4 p.m. Wednesday. Parish prayers will be at 6:30, followed by Knights of Columbus prayers at 6:45.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Guardian Angel Catholic Church, with the Rev. John Harth officiating. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
