SIKESTON, Mo. -- Betty Christine Campbell, 77, of Gravois Mills, Mo., died Monday, Jan. 10, 2005, at her home.
She was born March 1, 1927, at Essex, Mo., daughter of Jim and Lottie Grace Brannon.
Campbell was a waitress and cook many years. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary and Eagles Auxiliary.
Survivors include a son, Virgil Campbell Jr. of Belleville, Ill.; seven daughters, Juanita Haynes of Sikeston, Barbra Goforth and Sharon Campbell of Gravois Mills, Janice Mace of Dexter, Mo., Shirley Sugg of Cahokia, Ill., Janet Young of Tulsa, Okla., and Ann Costin of Nashville, Tenn.
Also surviving are two brothers, Gene Brannon of Sikeston, Charles Brannon of Marble Hill, Mo.; five sisters, Lena Hicks and Pat Young of Sikeston, Nancy Cochran of Marble Hill, Ruth Malone of Rockford, Ill., Linda Arthur of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; 22 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5 to 7 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Kelley Grubbs officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
