BLODGETT, Mo. -- Christine Bollinger, 89, of Blodgett died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019, at her home.
She was born June 17, 1929, in Osceola, Arkansas, to Louis Franklin and Estie Lee Simpson Stowers. She married Roy L. Bollinger on Jan. 13, 1948. He preceded her in death March 14, 2008.
She worked for and volunteered at Kenny Rogers Cerebral Palsy Center in Sikeston, Missouri, for more than 10 years. She was a member of New Savannah Baptist Church in Blodgett and a longtime member of Blodgett Women's Club.
She is survived by six children, Janet Dirnberger of Blodgett, Peggy (Larry) Francis of Nashville, Tennessee, Sandy (Larry) UImer of Troy, Tennessee, Kenneth (Cindy) Bollinger of Benton, Missouri, David Bollinger of Blodgett and Michael (Vickie) Bollinger of Lake St. Louis, Missouri; three brothers, Al (Sheen) Stowers, Jim (Judy) Stowers and Gary Stowers, all of Janesville, Wisconsin; a sister-in-law, Rosalie Bollinger of Benton; a brother-in-law, Clyde (Margaret) Bollinger of Festus, Missouri; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Louis Stowers; and two sisters, Jane Minner and Gladys Bechel.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Kenneth Bollinger and Dennis Lowe officiating.
Burial will be in Blodgett Cemetery in Blodgett.
