Christian Gauge Pierce, 3 months, died Monday, Jan. 5, 2015, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born Sept. 26, 2014, in Cape Girardeau, to Taylor Christian Pierce and Heather Rene Shackles Baker. Survivors include his parents of Jackson; a brother, Payton Pierce; two sisters, Aleah Shackles and Kaylin Coleman; maternal grandfather, Scott Shackles of Chaffee, Missouri; paternal grandparents, Teresa Burke of Jackson and David Parker of Crump; maternal great-grandparents, Ray and Joyce Matney of Benton, Missouri, Joyce Menz of Chaffee and Eddie and Kathy Shackles of Whitewater; and paternal great-grandparents, Walter and Sally Pierce of Jackson.. ...

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Thursday at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Dennis Lowe officiating. Graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. at Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart, Missouri.
