Chris Hudson

MOUND CITY, Ill. -- Charles Christopher "Chris" Hudson, 59, of Mound City passed away at 12:21 p.m. Friday, April 21, 2017, at Daystar Nursing and Rehab Center in Cairo, Illinois.

Chris was born May 3, 1957, in Cairo, son of Robert "Bob" Hudson and Patricia "Pat" Schlem Hudson.

Chris was a graduate of Camelot High School in Cairo, and graduated from Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky. He was a transportation broker and an intermodal consultant. Chris also received his real-estate license.

He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Cory Hudson.

Survivors include his parents, Bob and Pat Hudson of Mound City; a son, Christopher Michael (Chris) Hudson of Mound City; a daughter, Rebecca Hudson of Chicago; a brother, Todd Hudson of Naperville, Illinois; and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Jones Funeral Home Villa Ridge, with a memorial service to begin at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Buddy Walls and Dr. Larry L. Potts officiating. Private disposition will follow at a later date.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorials to the Mound City Women's Club, Mound City, Illinois, in memory of Chris Hudson.
