MILLER CITY, Ill. -- Chester J. Plemons, 65, of Miller City, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 1994, at the Union County Hospital in Anna, Ill.
He was born April 3, 1928, at Athens, Tenn., son of Walter and Leatha Christian Plemons.
He married Norma J. Tucker, Dec. 23, 1976.
Plemons was a member of the Lake Milligan Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; his mother of Cape Girardeau; six sons, Bruce Plemons, David Plemons, Larry Plemons, Dennis Plemons, Tommy Plemons and Troy Plemons, all of Liberty, Ind.; two daughters, Sandra Plemons and Debra Plemons, both of Liberty, Ind.; a step-son, Gary Fore of Olive Branch, Ill.; a step-daughter, Glenda Burgess of Miller City; a brother, John Plemons of Cape Girardeau; a step-brother, Hugh Swafford of Enfield, Ill.; a sister, June Gavette of Enterprise, Ala.; and a brother, Walter R. Plemons of Jackson, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by his father, a sister and a brother.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Thursday at the Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Ill.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, with the Rev. Billy Don Heady officiating.
Burial will follow in the National Cemetery in Mound City, Ill.
