JACKSON -- Funeral mass for Chester H. Friedrich of Jackson will be held at 10 a.m. today at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Msgr. Edward Eftink and the Rev. Dave Crook will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery.
Friedrich, 71, died Tuesday, July 28, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Nov. 27, 1920, at Jackson, son of Otto and Barbara Steimel Friedrich. He and Evelyn Randol were married July 3, 1946, at Jackson.
Friedrich had worked at Penzel Construction Co. in Jackson, and farmed in the Oak Ridge area. He was a member of Immaculate Church and Altenthal-Joerns American Legion Post 158. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Stephen Friedrich of Jackson, Thomas Friedrich of Kansas City; four daughters, Susan Friedrich of St. Louis, Mary Laurentius of Sappington, Bobbi Balsman of Perryville, Nancy Friedrich of Jackson; a sister, Barbara Peetz of Jackson, and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
