Funeral service for Chester Arthur Daugherty of Wellsville, formerly of Scott City, was held Thursday at Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville. The Rev. Kevin Kohnke officiated, with burial in Fairmount Cemetery at Middletown.
Daugherty, 91, died Tuesday, June 1, 1993, at Audrain Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 4, 1902, at Fornfelt, son of Pearl Edward and Delia Elizabeth Greer Daugherty. He and Genevieve Bertha Burhenna were married March 11, 1925, in St. Louis. She died Feb. 25, 1974.
Daugherty was a streetcar operator for Bi-State in St. Louis more than 40 years. He attended the Christian Church, and was a former member of the Lions Club.
Survivors include a daughter, Joan DeTienne of Wellsville; a son, Don Daugherty of Hazelwood; 12 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, three sisters, a brother and two grandchildren.
