CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Cheryl Jean Jackson Pruett, 50, of Chaffee, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandmother, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Cheryl Jean Jackson Pruett, 50, of Chaffee, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandmother, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Aug. 31, 1957, at Paso Robles, Calif., to Eugene and Deloris Parker Jackson. She and Ron Pruett were married Nov. 8, 2003.

Cheryl was a graduate of Delta High School and Metro Business College. She was employed at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, and was a member of Randles General Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Christopher (Priscilla) Hornbuckle of Chaffee and James Hornbuckle of Advance, Mo.; two granddaughters, Carlaena Jo Hornbuckle and Sadie Nichole Hornbuckle; her mother, Deloris Jackson Clifton Trentham of Delta, a sister, Deborah (Harold) Lancaster of Delta; a brother, Mitchell Theresa Jackson of Cape Girardeau; three stepchildren, Jonathan Pruett, Jackie Mullins and Rose Pruett, all of Coos Bay, Ore.; and nine stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, grandparents and a stepson.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Rev. Keith Price officiating. Burial will be in Friend Cemetery at Oran, Mo.

Pallbearers are Kevin Sanders, Kelly Moore, David Parker, Kevin Parker, John Pruett and Jonathan Pruett.
