Cheryl Y. Parker, 50, formerly of Jackson, passed away Monday, May 12, 2008, at the home of her mother-in-law in Cape Girardeau. Cheryl Y. Parker, 50, formerly of Jackson, passed away Monday, May 12, 2008, at the home of her mother-in-law in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Jan. 6, 1958, in Cape Girardeau, to Delmar and Rose Mary Drum Asher. She and Brent A. Parker were married April 28, 2001. They had lived in Imperial, Mo., the past three years.

Cheryl was a graduate of Jackson High School. She worked 16 years at VTG (the former Rapco) in Jackson, and at Falcon Cable Co. the past two years.

She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Fenton, Mo., and a former member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.

Cheryl loved animals. She was a great fan of rodeos, especially the bull-riding events. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and working in her yard.

Loving survivors include her husband, Brent of Imperial; a daughter, Keyla Rose (Eric) Kohler of Jackson; her mother, Rose Mary Asher of Jackson; three brothers, Tom (Peggy) Asher, Ronnie (Patti) Asher, Gary (Debbie) Asher, all of Jackson; two sisters, Rhonda Weston of Jackson, Peggy Benson of St. Louis; and mother-in-law, Mary Ann Parker of Cape Girardeau.

She was preceded in death by her father, Delmar Asher, and an infant sister, Teri Asher.

Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to time of service Friday at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.

The memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, followed by a graveside committal service at Cape County Memorial Park. The Rev. Lawrence Eatherton will officiate.

Memorials are suggested to Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1500 San Simeon Way, Fenton, Mo., 63026.
