Cheryl A. Ginter, 74, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Jackson and Sikeston, Missouri, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2022, at Fountainbleau Lodge. She was born May 17, 1947, in Jackson to the late Elmer E. and Annie R. Trickey Ginter. Cheryl was a middle school teacher in Sikeston for many years. Cheryl A. Ginter, 74, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Jackson and Sikeston, Missouri, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2022, at Fountainbleau Lodge.

She was born May 17, 1947, in Jackson to the late Elmer E. and Annie R. Trickey Ginter.

Cheryl was a middle school teacher in Sikeston for many years. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. She also attended First Baptist Church in Jackson and in Sikeston.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Ruth Gene Tucker of Dallas, Texas; nephews, Will (Deb) Tucker, Scott (Heather) Tucker, Bruce (Lynette) Tucker and Jeff Tucker; and many grand-nephews and -nieces

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, William L. Tucker.

Cheryl will be missed by the hundreds of teachers and students she worked with and taught over her many years of teaching.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.

Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Russell Heights Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
