BROWNWOOD, Mo. -- Charlie Brown, 86, of Brownwood died Friday, Jan. 26, 2001, at the Beverly Health Rehabilitation Center in Bloomfield, Mo.
He was born May 4, 1914, in Lamar County, Ala., son of George Jefferson Brown and Idella Sorrells.
He was a retired farmer and attended the Brownwood General Baptist Church.
He and Beulah Flynn were married Oct. 20, 1937, in Lamar County.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Waymon Brown of Dexter, Mo., Thaymon Brown of Bell City, Mo., Wayne Brown of Arbor, Mo., and Raymond Lee Brown of Ullin, Ill.; a brother, Lester Brown of the state of Alabama; three sisters, Anna Lou Myers of the state of Alabama, Lena Taylor of the state of Georgia and Millie Gray Barnes of Guin, Ala.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance, Mo.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel. Earl Elfrink and Scott Payne will officiate. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park.
