Charley Swan

MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Charley Norman Swan, 84, of Marble Hill died Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at Life Care of Cape Girardeau.

He was born Aug. 25, 1929, in Grassy, Missouri, son of Charles Abel and Ida May Hillis Swan.

Charley worked at VIP in Marble Hill for several years.

He was cared for by his niece, Sandy Horton, and nephew, Ron Swan, who survive. Many other nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by six brothers, Abel, Carrel, Herman, Vernon, John and Woodrow Swan.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Curtis Howard officiating. Burial will be in Grassy Friendship Cemetery.
