CHARLEY SEABAUGH

JACKSON -- Charley L. Seabaugh, 79, of Jackson died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Sept. 9, 1919, at Sedgewickville, son of Aaron and Bertha Seabaugh. He and Vergie Wilson were married June 8, 1946, in Jackson.

Seabaugh worked at Florsheim Shoe Co. 38 years, retiring in 1984. He was a former Boy Scout leader with Troop 311, and a member of Altenthal-Joerns American Legion Post 158.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Charles Seabaugh of Jackson; a brother, Raymond Seabaugh of Jackson; two sisters, Geraldine Brotherton of Jackson, Sadie Dixon of Sedgewickville; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today. An American Legion Honor Guard service will be held at 7.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. O. David Griffin officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
