SIKESTON -- Charley L. Cureton, 88, Sikeston Route 1, died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 1991, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 30, 1903, at Marquand, son of Robert and Dovie L. Bollinger Cureton. He and Iona Skaggs were married Sept. 21, 1932, at Marble Hill.
Cureton was a farmer.
Survivors include seven sons, Melvin and Junior Cureton of Orlando, Fla., Earnest Cureton of Crowder, Curtis Cureton of Zalma, Bill Cureton of Perryville, Buck Cureton of Sikeston, Mip Cureton of Charter Oak; three daughters, Berdine Wilkerson of Sikeston, Paulett Bell and Kathrynn Hamilton of Bell City; two sisters, Virgie Bess and Myrtle Starkie of Marquand; 24 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; several stepgrandchildren and great-stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three daughters, four brothers two sisters and a grandchild.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. Burial will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery near Bloomfield.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Friday.
