GORDONVILLE -- Charley Henry Meyer, 85, of Gordonville, died Thursday, Nov. 3, 1994, at Deal Nursing Home in Jackson.
He was born Aug. 25, 1909, in Litchfield, Ill., son of August F. and Minnie Neumeyer Meyer. He and Hazel McKnight were married Nov. 13, 1948, in Piggott, Ark.
Meyer farmed all his life, was a substitute carrier with the U.S. Postal Service from 1960-68, and retired from Southeast Missouri Hospital in 1974. He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Mike Meyer of Gordonville, Charles Meyer of Summersville, W.Va.; two sisters, Aileen Schroeder of Jackson, Dorothy Grabill of Augusta, Ga., and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau from 4-6:30 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tom Gross officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
