CHAFFEE -- Charles Wesley Mason Sr., 71, of Chaffee died Sunday, Sept. 3, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Nov. 3, 1923, to James Arthur and Frances Marie Floyd Mason in Kass, Ark.
Mason was a retired manager from Caldors Department Store and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He also was the president of Alcoholic Annonymous in Chaffee. He was a member of the Southern Baptist Church in Kingston, N.Y.
Survivors include three sons, Wesley Mason of West Jordan, Utah, Phillip Mason of Woodbridge, Va., and Jimmy Mason of St. Petersburg, Fla.; three daughters, Loretta Pacanowski of Tobyhanna, Penn., Rebecca Roach of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Alice Gunther of Sanford, Fla.; two sisters, Ruby Duncan of Chaffee and Bonita Reilly of Kingston, N.Y.; 17 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Four brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Friends may callafter 6 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. William Marshal and the Rev. Paul Wood will officiate, and burial will be in Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
