PERKINS -- Charles Stevens, 86, of Ferguson died Thursday, Sept. 9, 1999, at St. Sophia Healthcare Center in Florissant.
He was born Oct. 15, 1912, in Plymouth, Mich., son of Oliver Charles and Elizabeth Fisher Stevens. He and Ludie Ruby Thomas were married Sept. 7, 1941, at Maplewood. She preceded him in death.
Stevens was formerly of Perkins. He was a retired member of Iron Workers Local 396 in St. Louis, and member of Gateway Riders BMW Motorcycle Club.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a prisoner of war during World War II.
There are no survivors.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance. The Rev. Rick Crump will officiate. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery at Perkins.
Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 8:30 a.m. until service time.
