ADVANCE -- Charley S. Lambert, 82, of Advance Route 1 died Monday, June 24, 1996, at Advance Nursing Center.
He was born Dec. 16, 1913, in Dongola, son of Shelby and Florenta Batten Lambert. He married Ruby Shell Jan. 28, 1939, in Zalma.
Lambert was a retired farmer and shoe factory worker. He was a member of Zalma Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Darrel Lambert of Dexter, Dale Lambert of St. Louis and Kenneth Lambert of Memphis, Tenn.; one brother, Roy Lambert of Ironton; two sisters, Hazel Dalton of Florissant and Byrel McElhienny of Kirksville; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
Friends may call from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.
Service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Noel Meade officiating and the Rev. Dale Fish assisting. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery at Marble Hill.
