ADVANCE, Mo. -- Charles Dee Robins, 89, of Advance passed away Monday, Feb. 11, 2019, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Aug. 24, 1929, in Advance, the son of Charles Henry and Cora Ellen Turner. Charles and Lotta Mae Moyer were united in marriage March 11, 1948, and she preceded him in death Feb. 2, 2012.
Charles had been a lifelong farmer. He had been a board member at MFA Inc. and MFA Oil. He also had been a member of the Advance Board of Education.
Charles was a member of New Hope General Baptist Church, where he was also a Sunday school teacher and a deacon.
Survivors include two sons, Michael (Lura) Robins and Larry (Kristi) Robins, both of Advance; a daughter, Patricia (John) Johnson of Advance; eight grandchildren, Shannon (Karin) Bollinger, Matthew Bollinger, Heath (April) Robins, Adam (Sarah) Johnson, Amanda (Corey) Ruesler, Emily (Andrew) Pretroline, Chase (Ashley) Robins and Dakota Robins; and eight great-grandchildren, Oliver, Stella, Charlie, Owen, Alex, Brooklyn, Layton and Lance.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a sister, Ruth Francis; and a grandson, Lance Carlton.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
