HENDERSON, Tenn. -- Charles Ronald Ridings, 68, formerly of Advance, Missouri, died recently at the Tennessee State Veterans Home in Humboldt, Tennessee, after a long struggle with cancer. HENDERSON, Tenn. -- Charles Ronald Ridings, 68, formerly of Advance, Missouri, died recently at the Tennessee State Veterans Home in Humboldt, Tennessee, after a long struggle with cancer.

Ridings was a graduate of Delta High School and Southeast Missouri State University. He lived many years in Memphis, Tennessee, and was an environmental health and safety manager for a company there.

He leaves his wife of 41 years, Margaret Ridings; a daughter, Rachel Ridings Horton; and two grandchildren.

He was a decorated veteran of the Vietnam War and will be interred at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Shackelford Funeral Directors of Henderson is in charge of arrangements.
