SHAWNEETOWN, Ill. — Charles Thomas Pinkston, 54, of Shawneetown passed away at 11:38 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Charles was born Nov. 7, 1962, in Eldorado, Illinois, the son of Thomas Ezra and Josephine Smith Pinkston.

He was a truck driver for Klem Trucking of Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Charles attended Ohio Valley General Baptist Church in Shawneetown.

He is survived by his son, Charles Lee Pinkston of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Marilyn (Ray) Nally of Morganfield, Kentucky, and Pam Bryant of Junction, Illinois; and a brother, Tom (Gena) Pinkston, also of Junction.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Shelia Pinkston and Debra Moore.

Visitation will be from noon until service time today at Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today at the chapel. The Rev. Michael Rushing will officiate, with burial at Westwood Cemetery near Shawneetown.
