Ullin, Ill. -- Charles Raymond "Chuck" Miller, 71, of Ullin, died Saturday, Jan. 4, 1997, at his home. He was born May 10, 1925, at Elco, Ill., the son of Raymond Charles and Bertha Rhymer Miller. He married Betty Campbell on Oct. 23, 1943. He was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church in Ullin for nearly 50 years. He was co-owner/operator of Ullin Auto Body since 1952. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II and a member of the Mounds VFW...

Ullin, Ill. -- Charles Raymond "Chuck" Miller, 71, of Ullin, died Saturday, Jan. 4, 1997, at his home.

He was born May 10, 1925, at Elco, Ill., the son of Raymond Charles and Bertha Rhymer Miller. He married Betty Campbell on Oct. 23, 1943.

He was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church in Ullin for nearly 50 years. He was co-owner/operator of Ullin Auto Body since 1952. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II and a member of the Mounds VFW.

Survivors include his wife, of Ullin; a daughter, Phyllis Brown of Ullin; a son, Roger Miller of Grand Chain, Ill.; one sister, Delores Eudy of Jonesboro, Ill.; three brothers, Conrad Miller of Ullin, Gordon Miller of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Paul Miller of McClure, Ill.; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter.

Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Monday at Crain Funeral Home in Ullin and after 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Ullin. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, Rev. F. M. Speakman and Rev. Mark Best officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Cemetery.
