THOMASVILLE, Pa. — Charles "Chuck" William Koehler Jr., 78, of Thomasville, formerly of Jackson, entered into rest Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2021, in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
He was born Feb. 7, 1943, in Jackson to Charles William Sr. and Gusta Wedekind Koehler.
Chuck was an honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. Navy and served on the honor guard of President John F. Kennedy.
He worked 30 years for Paul L. Smith Inc. and retired from Jeffrey L. Henry.
He was a member of VFW Post No. 8896 in East Berlin, Pennsylvania. He enjoyed farming, horseback riding, camping, woodworking, gardening, and country and bluegrass music. Most of all he loved his country and his family.
To cherish his memory, he leaves his wife of 58 years, Wanda Rishel Koehler of Thomasville; a son, Scott A. Koehler of Glen Rock, Pennsylvania; daughters, Stacy A. Koehler and Lisa S. Koehler, both of York, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Jessica, Cassie, Brandon, Joni, Brittany, Brady, Bradley, Brianna and Sam Mayo; great-grandchildren, Madyson, Jayden, Blake, Brandon, Jayda, Bailey, Jhayla and Amya; siblings, Ronnie Koehler, Rick Koehler and Judy Dale of Jackson, Joe Koehler of Texas and Danny Koehler of Glen Rock; and a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Doug Koehler.
At Chuck's request, no services will be held at this time.
Gladfelter Funeral Home Inc. in York was in charge of Chuck's arrangements.
