Charles Knight, 63, of Barnesville, Ga., died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2006, in a health-care facility in Atlanta, Ga.
He was a native of Cape Girardeau, son of George Ferris and Bessie Gail Kitchen Knight.
Mr. Knight had made his home in Barnesville for a number of years. He was a teacher at Lamar County Comprehensive High School, and a member of First United Methodist Church in Barnesville.
Survivors include his wife, Marcia Knight of Barnesville; four sons, Todd Charles (Pam) Knight of Griffin, Ga., Timothy William (Susan) Knight of Waleska, Ga., Adam Whittington Foley and Andrew Corley Knight of Barnesville; a sister, Jeanine Knight (Richard) Ward of Williamson, Ga.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Colby J. and Anna Jean Clark of Barnesville; four grandchildren; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, George F. Knight Jr.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Williams Funeral Home in Barnesville.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church in Barnesville, with the Rev. Jay Tenney officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Griffin.
