CHAFFEE -- Charles John Liberty, 55, Chaffee Route 1, died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 12, 1937, at Stamford, Conn., son of Floyd Merten and Anna M. Decaro Liberty. He married Janet Joanne Cox March, 2, 1979, in Pomona, Calif.
He was a long-distance truck driver. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Scott City, member and currently vice grand of IOOF 675 in Cape Girardeau, and past noble grand of Tekoa Lodge 138 in West Springfield, Mass.
Survivors include his wife; six sons, Charles, Elmer, and Robert Sheaffer, all of West Springfield, Michael Sakasitz of Whitehall, Pa., Richard Sakasitz of Bloomington, Ind., Steven Sakasitz of High Bridge, N.J.; three daughters, Julia Heroux of Oran, Annette Sakasitz of Bloomington, Ind., Sharon Whitfield, Palmdale, Calif.; a half- brother, Eugene Sellers, and two grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel with the Rev. Terry Eades officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. Friday.
